Institutional policies
These principles guide the shared work of DHD, its governing bodies, committees, member organisations, volunteers and partners. Binding individual policies will be added after formal adoption.
Human dignity and human rights
DHD respects every person’s dignity and opposes discrimination, racism, violence, hate speech and degrading conduct. The safeguarding needs of children, young people and persons at risk receive particular attention.
Equal treatment and social justice
Access to activities and cooperation should be fair, inclusive and free from unjustified disadvantage. Different experiences, genders, generations, abilities and social backgrounds are respected.
Democratic responsibility, neutrality and independence
Decisions are prepared transparently according to DHD’s statutes and assigned responsibilities. DHD is politically and religiously independent and must not be used for party-political, extremist or discriminatory purposes.
Transparency and accountability
Decisions, projects, responsibilities and the use of approved funds are documented in an understandable manner. Conflicts of interest must be disclosed and affected persons must not participate in the relevant decision.
Privacy and responsible communication
Only necessary personal data are processed. Images, names and stories are published only with a suitable legal basis. Communication remains factual, respectful and verifiable, and errors are corrected transparently.
Cooperation and member autonomy
DHD pools knowledge, resources and shared interests while preserving each member organisation’s institutional independence. Cooperation is based on respect, clear roles and jointly agreed goals.
Reports and complaints
Concerns about misconduct or safeguarding risks may be sent confidentially to info@hazara-dachverband.de. [Add the responsible complaints body, process and time limits after formal adoption.]
